Emmalina Glinskis is a climate change consultant (previously a practitioner, journalist, and researcher) focusing on the intersection of climate change adaptation, mitigation, finance, insurance, and infrastructure. She is interested in utilizing new climate risk technology, innovative planning, and creative forms of capital to cut through red tape, support long term risk transfer, and build better financial safety nets and physical infrastructure for those at the frontlines of climate change. She works closely with engineers, scientists, and government + corporate clients to get closer and closer to this goal; currently finishing my Master's in Urban Planning at UC Berkeley.

She is currently supporting both Floodbase and Arcadis in business development and building solutions for clients in both the insurance industry and infrastructure projects worldwide.

She has worked in the past as a producer for the World Science Festival and as an editorial fellow at The Nation in her native New York City. Her reporting, editing, and production work can be found in VICE News, The Nation, Current Conservation, Columbia Political Review, and The Gate.

Formally trained at Columbia University in Environmental Science, she conducted various research examining ecological and spatial drivers for land use change, environmental degradation, deforestation, and urbanization in climate-vulnerable regions. Her past affiliates include the U.S. Antarctic Program, The Earth Institute, Argonne National Laboratory, Lithuanian Ministry of the Environment, and The Nature Conservancy
